By taking proactive steps, you can avoid costly repairs and enjoy a smoother driving experience. - Key Maintenance Tasks
There are several recommended tasks that should be performed consistently. Start with regular oil changes, as clean oil is crucial for engine health. Additionally, check the tires’ air pressure and tread depth regularly to ensure optimal grip and fuel economy. Don’t forget about the brake system; inspecting the brakes periodically can save you from dangerous situations. - When to Seek Professional Help
While some maintenance tasks can be done at home, professional help is often needed for comprehensive inspections. If you’re unsure about your vehicle’s condition or need a thorough check-up, it’s best to consult a qualified mechanic. Regular professional assessments can catch issues before they escalate, leading to significant savings in the long run. - By integrating these regular maintenance recommendations into your vehicle care routine, you can ensure that your car or truck remains reliable and safe. Remember, a little bit of effort goes a long way in maintaining your vehicle’s value and performance!
- Why should I flush my brake fluid?
Brake fluid is hydroscopic, meaning it draws in moisture. If you have a clean glass of brake fluid and place a drop of water into it it falls to the bottom of the glass. What is at the bottom of most brake systems are calipers & cylinders made up for the most part of metal. Rust forms and compromises the seals & pistons causing leaks & poor performance. Moisture also lowers the boiling point of brake fluid causing brake pedal fade under hot conditions.

- Why change my Timing Belt now?
Most Manufacturer’s have set mileage requirements for changing Timing Belts. Some vehicles have what is known as an interference engine. In these type of engines when the Timing Belt breaks the pistons spinning at high revolutions contact the intake or exhaust valve which have not closed properly due to the broken belt. This usually calls for major engine repairs. Call us to see if your vehicle is due for this service or is affected by the interference problem.
